Comparison of Van Der Spek Janet Leather and Undyed Leather

IMG_6348
Both of these show unused leather in pristine condition. The JL here has range marks which are not in the newer leather VDS has bought in.

Both of these have been used for five months.

Janet leather is soft and flexible while the undyed is more stiff but will soften after a long time of use

  1. ArchiMark,
Thank you ever so much for this useful information on the Janet leather. It is especially helpful to make a decision for the costly or less costly way. And I will of course check the Cuiuo 6208 before because of the color, too.

  2. Janet,

Thank you for continuing to show the progression of your beautiful undyed leather binder as it ages….gets better and better I think….can’t wait to see it next year!…. 🙂

Also, great to see the large Janet leather sample for the reasons I list in my comment above…..so, thanks for that too….

    Mark

  3. Hello Janet! I am happy you show this comparison because I’ve asked myself for quiet a while which number the Janet-leather might have. I would like to have an organiser by vds with it and later on also one with undyed leather. But by the pictures on their site you cannot tell really……!?

    1. Sonja,

Janet leather is number 104…it is not listed on vdS website as it is a special leather and a bit more costly.

I’m considering using it for the inside of my binder that I have ordered. Other option I’m considering is the Cuiuo 6208 which is a standard leather available and a bit more brown than the Janet.

  4. I absolutely love my JL Pocket Planner. I want something in the undyed leather as well. I wish I could talk the Van Der Spek’s into making me an actual purse out of it.
