What else could you expect from that sort of newspaper? Unfortunately their spelling and grammar skills are getting worse and worse. It makes the joy of my students though who love playing the “spot the mistakes” game!
Mine do too – I often print out the front page and let them explain what they think is wrong and why. I find it is also very good for encouraging discussion because they are so provocative in some of their articles and do little or no research. The article above encouraged two of my students to give a presentation on how what the DM wrote about rubber was wrong.
