  1. The one that annoys me the most, and there are many, is your and you’re. So many people put your instead of you’re. Is it laziness or ignorance!?!

    1. I hate to say it but I think it is ignorance. People read less these days so only hear it in movies and in speech. It is not drummed into them in school either.

      1. It is definitely ignorance. Unfortunately, even reading these days doesn´t necessarily guarantee the correct spelling. With the introduction on e-readers (which I love), there are so many e-books published that haven´t been checked at all. Some of the ones I have read have been interesting from a storyline point of view, but have been severely damaged by the number of errors in them.

      2. I am not sure if you are like me but when I read a book or even a newspaper or magazine with errors in it, it just sinks like a stone in my estimation. Occupational hazard I guess!

  2. It’s more and more commonplace these days. “They” try to tell us that education has advanced but to me, it’s taken several steps backwards. 🙁

  3. Oh my, I dont think practice is correct, but I don’t know why;. The more I look at it, the more “wrong” it looks…lol
