Leather goods company Van Der Spek are celebrating their centenary this year – 100 years of leathercraft! To celebrate this, VDS are creating all kinds of goodies. They also have special leathers and items each month. The logo for 2026 is gold embossed with a crown on top. There is also a Royal Collection.
A part of the 2026 centenary products, is the completely customisable Colorblock planner.

VDS kindly offered to send me the brown sample planner. I was absolutely thrilled because my previous planner had a broken popper. This colorblock planner is stunning. It is made from undyed Janet Leather, brown Janet leather, dark brown Janet leather and (I believe) brown Touch Me leather. It has gold hardware (20mm rings) and the centenary stamp.
Here come some quick photos from today (I had a long day at work but was so excited to photograph it), and I will write a more detailed post in about a week. I have set it up with my normal inserts so I can use it today, but I will try and pretty them up in honour of their beautiful binder cover. I cannot thank the Van Der Spek family enough!

The planner is so gorgeous. I’d almost be afraid to use it.
I know, right? I am keeping it in its dustbag in my handbag at the moment, just to keep it pristine for a while. JL brown and JL undyed show marks quite quickly, but once that first mark is over, I will probably handle it normally.
No, no, no. Now I want to order another planner for myself, Janet!
