Travel wallet

My South African passport arrived earlier this week. The process was surprisingly painless, and took less than three months. When I took Swedish citizenship, my South African citizenship was revoked according to the law at the time. A constitutional court ruling deemed that law unconstitutional, and my citizenship was restored. South Africa requires all citizens to enter and leave SA on their SA passports, so I applied for one at the embassy in Stockholm in February.

The three are now together again. South Africa (birth), Irish (ancestry), Swedish (naturalisation). I usually travel with either just the Swedish one, or the Swedish and South African one. I have national Identity cards for Ireland and Sweden, but I only use those within the EU.

I have been looking for a new travel wallet that fits multiple passports. Most travel wallets only fit one, or are very long and bulky.

I usually use the one below by Coaban, but everything is just ‘in there’ and it is hard to find the right thing when you are at the airport or in customs. I carry passports, ID cards, driver’s licence and sim cards for my Swedish and South African phones, so I need something with slots, flaps and compartments.

So I have ordered this VULKIT one, from Amazon. The reviews are good and it seems nice and compact.
