Snow

The snowy weather continues, dumping down all ten types of snow my Swedish students can list.

I took this while gazing despondently out of my teaching room, dreading going back out in this to my next lesson. I walked 9km in this weather.

My husband walking Harley, who normally flirts and begs to go out. In the last few days he has refused.

A jogger…

These signs put fear into my heart. As you can see, the snow underfoot covers pure ice with no grit on it. One wrong step on that and you would go base over apex, so you need to look down. But at the same time you are suppose to look out for huge icicles and snow clumbs falling from buildings, so you need to look up. Several people have been badly injured and even killed by sharp falling icicles going through their heads.

  1. Thanks for sharing Janet. It amazes me how people with colder weather and more snow keep moving and working but here in the UK transport links come to a standstill with more than a few mm of snow.
