This is a 95-year-old swimming bath and bath-house being towed past our apartment the other day. It is pretty large, and weighs 600 tons so it must have been quite a mission to get it through the lock between the lake and the sea. The water used to be heated to 30°C/86°F and it used to float in Lake Mälaren.
These photographs are from the Stockholm City Museum.

I chuckled when I saw this at a local charity shop the other day. I was imagine the original owner using it once, ending up at the emergency room covered in cat scratches, and then donating it. I have had to bath cats a time or two (they were rescues covered in fleas or poop) and not one cat has ever liked it. I know there are cats who love water, but I have never been lucky enough to come across one.

Another interesting Uniqlo bag. Uniqlo products are generally well priced and practical, if a little boring at times. They make really good basics in neutral colours.

My husband takes Harley out for a 1.5 to 2-hour walk as often as possible. Harley has been walking on a harness since he was a kitten and – for a cat – is pretty well-trained on how and where to walk. He stops and heels on command.

My cats didn’t need a harness when they followed me out. They would stay close to me in case they encountered a dog because they trusted me to protect them. The only place they wouldn’t follow me into was the vets!
