A day

We often go to this café, which has the most amazing cakes and pies. When you order, you are given a knife so that you can cut as big (or as small) as slice as you want. The weird thing is, there is always a long queue and the shame at being thought of as greedy always makes me cut a smaller slice than I would actually like. My husband does the same. The café doest not lose money on big slices because many people who are there for lunch as well would not want a big slice anyway, but human nature is interesting.  If there was no queue I would probably take a slightly bigger piece.

This is the view from the gazebo at the café. It overlooks the town of Mariefred, and the little island in the lake is an Airbnb.

This sticker was on a BMW adventure bike near where we parked.

It was probably our last ride for the season. It was a little cold but the air was clear and the sky was high. The leaves are starting to turn and that always makes me sad. Autumn is beautiful but I find it melancholy.

Catrick climbing up the cat net. He never wants to go out but loves climbing our netting. It is chew proof and very tight so there is no way the cats will ever get out. Our trees are all pruned for the winter now.
