I read this with interest the other day. I don’t agree 100% with all of it, but it does explain why it is difficult to break out of the cycle of poverty, and how old wealth differs from new wealth.
I have taught people from upper echelons and they usually do not show their wealth in terms of spending or love of labels. You can, however, tell that they are in a total different social class. They say money shouts but wealth whispers.
Money doesn’t talk it shouts and mine yells goodbye mf as it leaves me.
