I saw this police footage the other day and was fascinated at this grappler device that prevents dangerous high speed chases. The white car really tried to get away, without success.
I looked further into it and here is how it works. You would have to be pretty close to the offending car to deploy the device.
I would imagine this device could be used to commit crimes though…
