Black mini Filofax Kensington

This little beauty is brand new, from a charity shop about a year ago. I certainly don’t need any more ring organisers, but I hate seeing them unloved and tossed in the bargain bin. I am seeing more and more ring binders thrown in with the outdated mobile phone covers these days.

I downsized from A5 to personal and then, about three years ago, to pocket. I always thought mini would be a step too far for me (they are so tiny!) but maybe I should try? I used to use a mini teal Baroque for travelling and it worked really well but not sure that would work for scheduling. I am battling to find a decent calendar with vertical layout, and I also doubt I could write that small.

I did find this calendar which would be perfect, but I need to check that it fill fit. The inserts are 6,7 x 10,5 cm which should be okay. What do you think – should I try?

  1. The A-plan mini should work. I also think that Kalenderkungen have some Filofax mini for 2025 left with a discount. Not sure about the layout however.

  2. Hi! I would give a chance to that mini. I used my mini to groceries list and for cards as a wallet but then a policeman took all my cards and tissed them back after half an hour so never used again those pocket cardholders for ID and personal documents. Still have the mini in my bag though…

  3. I could never get away with using an organiser, and now with my smart phone (iPhone) and the fact that I’m retired I never need to try using a filofax organiser. I know that some people (a few friends I used to know) swore by organisers back in the day but with so much being stored on phones these days (or in the cloud) I think fewer people use organisers which is, presumably why, so many are being found in second hand, thrift, or other shops and there are fewer and fewer being produced.
