… should actually be called One Size Fits Most People. I have a big bust and so many one size things do not fit me. There are people on both ends of the size spectrum that cannot be accommodated by one size items, but I understand that sizing is difficult.
I do like shopping at Winston and Elle in Stockholm though. Their one size elasticated bottoms usually do not fit me well but the tops fit me like a dream – no swamping me or bursting at the seams. I wore their black t shirts and silver sneakers all through Covid. They were so comfortable and washed like a dream. I am normally too big for a M and too small for a L on the top. I am always so happy to go into this shop and be able to walk up to a shirt and know it will fit.
[all pics from Winston & Elle Instagram ]These are the two I am wearing the most at the moment. The pale blue one is cheesecloth/linen and broderie anglaise, and the stripey one is a silky material.
I also love this one. I tried it on and it looked really good. Two things bothered me though – it may wrinkle in the wash and I hate ironing, and it is made to be worn over bottoms, rather than tucked in. If I wear shirts over things they dangle over the precipice of my terrifying bosom and make me look enormous. Tucked in and I at least have a bit of a waist.
