Things to get rid of in 2025

  • Clothes you haven’t worn in a year
  • Expired makeup and skincare
  • Expired medication
  • Skin and hair care that does not suit you
  • Broken gadgets collecting dust
  • Extra cables you don’t need
  • Books you’ll never reread
  • Clothing that does not fit
  • Shoes that hurt your feet
  • Kitchen gadgets you never use.
  • Worn-out towels and sheets (donate these to an animal shelter if you can)
  • Extra coffee mugs
  • Decor that feels outdated
  • Junk emails cluttering your inbox (unsubscribe!)
  • Apps you never open
  • Duplicate or blurry photos
  • Subscriptions you don’t need
  • Cat toys that your cats never play with (let’s face it, they are happier with the box they came in)

  1. Great list & motivation for me to make some much needed dents in a few stacks or files I’ve procrastinated going through. Am generally organized but there are some things like books and photos that trigger the sentimentality switch so that I never seem to make much headway.

The older I get the more I have to work at making myself make decisions. Being conscientious about staying on track has to be top priority because the constantly expanding list of what I’m interested in makes it all too easy to put off the “need to do” list.
