Rest in Peace Leslie Jordan

During the covid-19 pandemic, I used to check Leslie Jordan’s twice-daily Instagram posts every single day. Said posts were short musings and comments on different things in life and the pandemic, addressed to his fellow ‘hunker downers’. Many of them were short videos but he also took photographs of things that caught his fancy.

Leslie went from 80,000 followers to 5.8 million during covid-19, because his posts resonated with so many of us and made us smile. He talked to his followers as though we were all dear friends. I loved watching him in Will and Grace too. He was like a ray of sunshine.

Leslie was an avid planner person and he used to show his collections of stickers, his planner, and show his schedule in posts such as this one. I cannot remember ever seeing a specific post about his leather planner cover, but I really love it.

It was such a shock to discover he had passed away suddenly, and the outpouring of grief after his death shows that I am not alone in my fondness for him. I imagine him now being somewhere nice, gossiping away with Betty White.
