This is spot on! I have been trying to learn Spanish and the adjectives are placed after the noun and it throws me. So, I use Spanish words with English spin.
I came across this a few years ago when teaching an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) class. I was intrigued and tried switching a few round. Mostly things just sounded odd 😀
It’s weird that we do it without realising it, isn’t it?
