This beauty is on its way to me and I am so happy!!! I have wanted one for ages but the price always put me off. Then they stopped making them as far as I know, and they became harder and harder to find. I have been looking for one for a while and then one popped up on bouteia for a good price so I pounced. I can really recommend them – have bought loads from them. In fact I was their very first customer.

The stitching on these binders is always perfect and the leather is tough saffiano-type leather (see above) which wears extremely well. This binder comes in black and brown and is available on bouteia on eBay (see link above). There are also some slightly different models in their online webshop here.

    1. I have no plans for this one – I just pounced now because they have stopped making them and they are really hard to find – especially at good prices. For the next months anyway I will be in my Van Der Spek undyed – partly because I love it so much and partly because I am really busy and I don’t have time to swap over and set up another one.

  1. That’s lovely Janet. I have a new binder today. It’s a brown leather Rotherfaden. It’s a leather binder with burnt orange felt inside. It has metal fasteners to attach the inserts. I have two thick Leuchtturm 1917 in the fasteners and a reporter’s notebook in a slot at the back. It’s A5 in size and is destined as a note taking binder. I attend museum lectures and am learning to sketchnote, after years of just writing.

  2. Well done on your acquisition! The leather looks wonderful very classy. Bouteia are such good, reliable sellers,
