Someone asked me which my fave Bowie pics from different eras are. So, here they come! I don’t think one era is better than another as I think his music and his style were just as good with every reincarnation (for want of a better word). My favourite era is probably the Berlin Era because he looked healthy and natural, and wrote Heroes (one of my absolute favourite Bowie songs). After that would probably be the Ziggy era for the theatricality and the beauty of it all.
The next ones are from live performances from the Ziggy Stardust tour (1972 – 3). I think I like the bottom up shots, NOT for The Area (as the Bowie bulge is called) but because it shows the beautiful costumes and theatricality of the Ziggy era.
Below from the Berlin era (about 1977) where he had his natural hair colour, no makeup and was clean from drugs.
