Eucerin Ultra Sensitive Soothing Care for dry skin

I am still battling with my skin. The huge red blotches around my nose disappeared after the antibiotic cream, but then reappeared with a vengeance. I have had this happen before with creams containing cortisone. Cortisone creams can cause rebound rashes, which are tough to get rid of.

I am now on a course of penicillin (flucloxacillin) and my skin was not tolerating anything apart from water. I was going out of my mind with the tightness, burning, itching, and stringing. A couple of days ago I was advised to try this. I have also bought new pillows.

I really hope it works. My course of penicillin ends on Tuesday and if it is not better, my skin specialist says he will try plan C, whatever that is.

I have heard that CeraVe and Avène are quite gentle. I may have to try those.

  1. I’ve found Calm-Essentiel Restoring Treatment Oil from Clarins to be outstanding at dealing with my rosacea. I looked it up to see exactly what it’s called, and currently it’s on offer. I appreciate this isn’t your issue, but it might be worth trying a sample. Hugs

  2. My son can have bad eczema flare-ups and we can certainly vouch for CeraVe to keep his skin under control- especially the intensive moisturising lotion.

  3. I really wish you the best of luck with your skin care. It really is no joke when your skin breaks out for no reason.
