These bigger boats break the ice into smaller pieces. Most of them are over 100m/328ft long and about 16m/52ft wide and all are ice-classed.
This photo was taken from the bed as I had my morning coffee. It is still about -11°C/12°F but you can definitely see the sun is coming back now. When it shines, it activates the photochromic lenses in my sunglasses now.
