I used to use various oils when I was younger. Almond and coconut oil on my hair, olive oil to tan (I know, right??), tissue oils (a popular South African thing) on my face. Over the years I got to dislike the feel of them, so generally just use heavy moisturisers (for example Weleda Skin Food), and balms (such as Elizabeth Arden Eight-Hour Cream) especially in winter.
My skin has been suffering lately from cold weather, wind, driving snow, influenza, and running nose and eyes. Upon recommendation from a friend (who has amazing skin) I bought ACO Renewing Skin Oil. I like it so far. It is quite thick and I have mixed a drop with my facial moisturiser. I also put some on the ends of my hair before shampooing.
I am not sure I would buy it again, but it feels really lovely on the skin. The trick is to use just a tiny drop. My skin has been wrecked over the past six weeks so I guess it will take a while to get back to normal.
