The schoolchildren at the local school were having great fun ‘sledding’ down the hills outside the school on these green ‘sleds’. I am not sure what the English word for them is. When I was that age we used to board down huge sand dunes on pieces of wood. I am not sure which is harder or messier when you fall!
Dedicated, a Swedish chain, is still going all-out on the cat theme. They are quite pricey for the quality so I have not bought anything, but these items really make me smile when I walk past.
The sun came out briefly while I was teaching the other day. My heart just sang with joy
It didn’t last long though. We were soon back to this. The canal outside our apartment is frozen solid, which is pretty unusual because it is a working canal for ships passing from Lake Mälaren via our lock out to the Baltic Sea. This ice wouldn’t need an icebreaker escort, but it would be problematic if you froze fast while waiting for the lock to open.
