Cat-Proof flowers?

Anyone with cats knows how hard it is to have bouquets of flowers in the house. Many common bouquet flowers (for example Lilies) are deadly to cats. Even if a bouquet consists of all cat-friendly flowers, our cats tend to knock the vases over or chew at the leaves. In our house all our plants are plastic. Good quality, but fake nonetheless!

I am attempting one of these to see if they are cat-friendly. I will probably have to avoid the smallest pieces that they could chew off and swallow. But it gives me hope! You can find different types of Lego flower arrangements so maybe this is the first of many!

  1. My cats learned not to chew on the plants I had around the house, all I did was told them no as I picked them up away from the plants. It takes time and patience but once they learn that no means it gets them in trouble they tend to leave them alone. However, knocking over vases is going to get them wet (unless they are very lucky) and that teaches them quicker than anything else.
