2023 calendars and inserts

Calendars for the 2022/2023 academic year have been out for months, but I have been champing at the bit waiting for the 2023 calendars to come out. I am already taking bookings and making travel plans for next year, so not having a 2023 calendar has been inconvenient.  It’s at times like these that I wish I could print out my own inserts!

I finally found ‘my’ 2023 inserts online today, and ordered them immediately. I am very boring in that my inserts never change. I always have a Burde Interplano XL vertical week-on-two pages calendar at the front for appointments, lessons and meetings. I cannot function without a vertical WOTP insert because I need an overview of my week in timetable format.

I usually order two packs of these inserts because sometimes my weeks have so many cancellations and changes that I have to rewrite them.

I put a full year in at a time.

Behind that I have Filofax page a day inserts that hold my daily to do lists. I put two months’ worth of inserts in at a time and I remove and throw the used pages away once a week.

Behind these I have lined inserts for miscellaneous notes and lists. These I either keep as a reference or throw away once I am done.

In addition, last week I bought a 2023 Hobonichi Mega Weeks, in which I will continue recording and planning sales.  I have been doing it since March 7 this year and the Weeks size has proved to be perfect for me. Portable, yet with loads of space.

All in all, my inserts and calendars are always very basic and utilitarian. I don’t keep them afterwards and I make a mess of them while I am using them. But they are workhorses for me, tools of the trade. Over time I have found what works for me and stuck to it.
