  1. This is for the rich cats, they don’t have to jump on/off the counter like the poor cats do, they ascend and descend in a very elegant fashion.

  2. “Do not dumb here. Not dumb area here.” How this is not made into signs and posted everywhere is beyond me.

    And the “stairs” in the bathroom are so that you can showcase your tchotchkes and dust-collectors. Or, practicality-wise, you have a place to put your assorted face- , bathing- and hair-care needs. No, really, whoever designed/put in the stairs was out to lunch – that’s my verdict. As the saying goes, “Why????” (this is to be said in a nasally, whiny tone of voice)
