Happy tears welled up in my eyes when beautiful labrador Sheru was found after 5 days missing. A returned pet is one of the greatest joys in life. Sheru’s photo and details were shared across local Facebook groups and we were all so thrilled at the good news.
Most animals return home after a day or two, some after even longer. And of course, there are some that never come home. But if you microchip and/or tattoo your cat, put up flyers, post on Facebook, check shelters, pounds and veterinary hospitals, the chances are much better. Facebook is a great source of help because people are more than willing to share posts looking for missing animals, or animals in need of adoption.
