Handmade vintage travel bag

I have updated this post with further photographs and information.

This bag is about 45 years old and well used, but the leather is still soft and plump. It is extremely well designed. It is also large enough to fit enough for a week away.

The only downside his bag is heavy. Probably from those days when porters carried everything as you travelled. Nowadays when I have to walk miles through airports it is not so much fun but oh man, this bag is beautiful.

It is completely handmade of heavy leather. Every stitch is done by hand and each of the three locks is individually handmade and has its own key.

The lining is of deep green satin and it has four feet to keep the leather off the ground. The colour of the leather is beautiful and despite heavy use, there are only very small signs on wear on this bag. I have never treated or moisturised it in any way.

The main zipper clips onto the side lock. The stitching is all handmade the the zipper is heavy duty metal (my favourite kind!). There is a separate key for each of the three locks.
