My Favourite Jeans – Joie So Real

I bought these Joie So Real jeans more than ten years ago at a MrsH sale in Stockholm. They had cost a packet to begin with but by the time I found them they had been reduced at least four times – to next to nothing. I think I paid £20 for them. But over ten years later I still wear them often. When I was in London at the Selfridges Denim Studio, two people asked me where I had bought them. One was a member of staff and another one was a customer.

They are made of thick soft denim and look a bit like Cargo pants. They wash like a dream. The legs are tight at the top and wider at the bottom and are quite long. The waist is not particularly high or low. They are not trendy by any means but I love them! I have very thin legs and no bum so the pockets give me the illusion of some shape.

Other jeans I often get comments on are also old styles – Faith Hudson, Blue Cult Gwyneths in Faux Core Wash, and True Religion Joey. These are pricey but revolve clothing.com have them much cheaper than in Europe. However, local distributors found out about it and for a while they were not allowed to send certain brands to Europe. Not sure if that still holds true.
