In the past week or so, Stockholm has had more snow than in ten years. It came down so suddenly that the police put out a warning not to go out to shop, eat, or socialise. This was so that the roads would be free for emergency vehicles and the police would not have to use valuable resources to rescue people who did not have to be outside anyway.
This is what it looked like after we were inside from 31/12 to 5/1.
Meanwhile, my family in South Africa were sending me these photos…

I love looking at snow scenes as long as I am indoors and not outside! I think the winter in South Africa suits me more than winter in Stockholm (I don’t like cold weather but I know some who don’t like heat).
