Travel pill holder

I keep my daily tablets in the middle pill box, which lasts a month. This helps me remember whether I have taken them or not. I gave my mother a larger version of this turquoise one, which lasts her two weeks because she takes pills twice a day.

When I travelled, I used to use the smaller ones left and right. They no longer fit my medication because my 80mg cholesterol tablet is enormous (about the size of one of those giant vitamin tables) and I now take four different tablets once a day. So for my next trip I am using the one below. It has generous compartments for six days, and two larger compartments where I will keep my ibuprofen and the cleaning tablets for my bite plate.

The boxes above were available at a local chain (Normal, for my Swedish readers) and come in pink, cream and blue. I may pick up another one (or repurpose this one afterwards) for my travel jewellery case. As I mentioned previously, I use pillboxes to hold jewellery. It is so easy to keep earrings in pairs and prevent chains from forming an instant giant lump of tangles. The one below lives in my larger jewellery box.

I did spot some identical ones on Amazon (below). If they are the same size as the one I have, the daily compartments are big enough to hold my rings, but I will probably keep my rings in the top larger compartments. The smaller ones would hold earrings, chains and chain bracelets for travel. It would also look more innocuous in my handbag than a travel jewel box or roll.

  1. What a great idea to use a pill box to store jewellery!… I love that! That’s very clever!
