This has been a movie watching weekend. I watched:

Third Watch Season 6 – very good police terminology. This series stayed good until the end

Blue Bloods Season 1 – also very good police terminology (less slang than Third Watch)

Conviction – true story with Hilary Swank. Good but not outstanding

Winter’s Bone – excellent movie but not the most cheerful I’ve seen

Rabbit Hole – outstanding

The Lincoln Lawyer – excellent adaptation of a Michael Connelly novel though Ryan Phillippe is not convincing as a villain.

Never Let Me Go – good for English accents but not a great movie.

Just Go With It – Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston. Say no more. I only managed to watch it all on the second try.

Midsomer Murders – three of the new series. The new Barnaby grows on you very quickly and the storylines are always good
