A Day

The gloom is coming as the leaves disappear and it becomes darker each day. In Sweden, directly after the solstices, there is not much change in the sunrise and sunset. Then as we head towards the next solstice, there are big jumps every day so it seems to go very quickly.

I have started my Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 supplements to combat tiredness. I continue to take these until late spring. And I find my glimmers in every day. Plus, in 67 days we will be in the sun again!

These bracelets by Snö of Sweden look like candy. I don’t wear this type of jewellery anymore but for summer it would be lovely with a light tan.

IKEA now has meerkats!

A local mall had a small exhibition of things from the 60s, 70s and 80s. I had all of these!

I am really happy with my Seiko watch. It retailed for almost $400 but I bought it for $150 when the model was discontinued. HOWEVER, I saw these cheap interpretations of the Cartier Crash watch and fell in love. I have always loved that style.

A local farmer’s market/flea market close to us. I love walking through there on Saturdays and looking at the food and other wares. This is a genuine old-fashioned flea market. Not curated, not hipstery.

Our cats love these little catnip mice. The vendor makes them with fresh catnip, which drives our cats crazy (in a good way)

Our cherry trees have lost their leaves now, but they are so pretty in first bloom, and also in the last burst before they sleep for the winter.

Pity about the graffiti. I hate this type of anti-social behaviour.

A beautiful autumn day at my most beautiful workplace

I saw these shoes at a vintage shop. They are the real deal from the 1970s. I have thin and rather weak ankles, so I really hated wearing solid platform shoes. I thought I looked divine though so I used to do it all the time. How I did not break my neck or a leg I have no idea. Because there were so many of them and because the soles were in such good shape I believe these may be original floor models with shelf wear.

There were also these stingray cowboy boots. You hardly ever see genuine stingray, and these were beautifully made.

I may have posted these before but they make me smile so here they come (again?)
