I saw this ad while I was walking along the underground platform on a cold, rainy day during rush hour. It struck me that there must be very few people on that platform who were not wearing anything with a zipper. I had zippers on my boots, coat, trousers, and handbag.
The name zipper or zip (in British English) is an example of onomatopoeia, referencing the sound it makes.
