- situationship/insignificant other – to describe a casual relationship
- manglement – bad management
- bronouns – guy, dude, bro
- emoji forensics, emoji translators, emoji fingerprints — these are real professions, believe it or not
- errogant – when you are both wrong and arrogant

Depending on who you ask, these words can be called portmanteau (if they combine words), nonce words, or neologisms. They tend to be common in niche communities
- Voluntell: My mother voluntold me to help her neighbour (someone else volunteering your services without asking)
- Wasband: My wasband used to leave his socks all over the place (a quirky way of referring to a former husband)
- Sonsband: The son of a mother who never wants him to leave/marry
- Hobosexual: A person who moves into a relationship to secure housing and food for themselves. They tend to move in soon after the relationship starts and it’s very hard to remove them
- Gymnurstics: When a baby climbs all over you and nurses while upside down/climbing
- Pinking the laundry: when you accidentally wash a bright colour with whites, turning them a different colour. Funnily, it often involves a red sock, but recently I turned my whites into a ghastly shade of blotchy blue. The culprit was a new pair of dark denim shorts that snuck in somehow.
- Scamfluencer: an influencer who sells product that does not exist, or that they have never tried
- Financé/Financée – a partner who shoulders the entire economic burden
And this one is a malapropism, but after a family member misused it, we have it as an internal joke in our family – very gross veins (for varicose veins)
