I love looking at Royalty Now on Instagram. Becca Saladin, 29, from Dallas, Texas uses digital painting and photo editing to create modern depictions of famous people from royalty, history (both ancient and modern), celebrity, politics, and so on.
For me, seeing modern depictions of historical figures puts them into perspective. Usually you see these famous faces painted larger than life, but putting them into a t shirt with a modern hairstyle causes you to look at them as regular people who happened to change history.
My absolute favourite is Nefertiti, who I think is gorgeous, but below are some of my other favourites.
