We took a 1300km trip to and from southern Sweden in early July. We were there for six days, and I packed perfectly. Most of the week was hot for Sweden (28°C/82°F). We saw cars from 16 EEA countries coming north. Many of them had caravans with bicycles strapped to the back and were probably going to enjoy some time in the beautiful Swedish countryside.

Because we were on the bike, I had to cover my legs, but for walking around I took my boots off and wore flip flops. The sandals are Billabong (the most comfortable flip flops I have ever worn), and the nail colour is H & M Lapis Lazuli.
We went to the most incredible ice cream shop, Glassäria in Karlskrona. They had about thirty flavours of ice cream and the ice creams are enormous.
We went to a playground with our grandson and I was hot and tired so I sat on a duck.
A typical Swedish café. Swedes don’t really go in for big round sandwich cakes, but their pastries are delicious and they do a lovely crumble (rhubarb crumble and custard is my favourite).
On the hotel toilet door. No line (cocaine), just a queue
You really could see that it was summer.
On the way home we were caught in a storm. I am not a fan of lightning at the best of times but being so exposed was scary. We stopped and had some coffee until the worst passed. We wear full leather gear and always carry rain gear with us so we are well covered, though we generally stop if the cars around us are almost hydroplaning and cannot see us on the road.
