I went through my jewellery boxes the other day, polishing things that needed it and taking out things from the back that I had not worn in a while. I always put them on the bed and love scratching through them. I tend to go through a period of wearing the same ‘set’ of jewellery until I get tired of it. I wear gold in winter and silver in summer.
I sell pieces of jewellery that I am tired of or that are no longer my style. I then use the money to buy new pieces. I sold over 100 pieces last year, mainly silver.
From left to right
- an amazing leather jewellery box with a key, which holds my real gold jewellery. It has a gorgeous embossed leather tray inside and velvet lining. I found it for $15 at a charity shop
- a blingy small box for my moissanite and lab diamond and sterling silver jewellery
- red leather jewellery box lined in cream velvet, which holds any non-gold jewellery that has precious stones in it. I have sterling silver and tanzanites, emeralds, garnets, peridot and onyx. I also have my gold watch in here because it does not fit in the small one. This was $6 at a charity shop
- sterling silver jewellery
- newer costume jewellery
- sentimental jewellery that I do not use
The only one that is full is the one with my sterling silver jewellery.
