Do you have a movie that you have seen over and over and still enjoy? One that makes you feel good after a no good very bad day?
Mine is Overboard. This is a movie that, if you pick it to pieces, has problems. But put all those pieces together and it is magical. A real feel good movie for when you have had a bad day. Goldie and Kurt have now been together for going on 35 years and you can see they had a whale of a time playing opposite each other in this movie. Goldie Hawn is at her best as the rich socialite. She plays it with such gusto!
If you have not seen it, I recommend it. It is from 1987 and did not receive great reviews when it came out but so many people name it a movie they love, and usually go on to mention their favourite lines:
- Tofuuuuuuuti… Tofuuuuti Klein!
- I just… ate a bug!
- Andrew? Are you going to bring me my lemon, or do I have to squeeze it from my hat?
