These (Frye) boots are made for walking

I love Frye Boots and have written about my black 12R Harness boots before. I used to have tall Campus boots, but I sold them and have regretted it ever since!

Because of the weather in Sweden (marginally less cold and rainy between May and August, and cold, rainy, snowy the rest of the year!), and the fact that I walk a lot, I need boots that are not too heavy, non-slip, well-made, don’t leak, and that I can use for years. I am the kind of person that hates buying shoes and hates wearing them in, so once I find some I like and have worn them in, I wear them until they fall apart. Sometimes I have to actually throw away boots that are not fit to be worn in public, so that I don’t keep using them.

I also have very slim legs so most boots look like wellies on me. I have to find boots that are adjustable, fit around the calf OR are styled in such a way that the extra space between the boot and my leg does not look ridiculous.

Here are some of my go-to boots. The two on the right are from H and M’s premium collection a few years ago and are the most amazing quality. I have worn them LOTS and they look as good as new.
