More comparative photos of VDS undyed binder – 2014, and 2016
Janet Carr
This is how they looked when I received them. Pristine. A pale shell-pink.The binder, after being used daily from November 2014 to January 2016. The leather sample has been kept in the dark and used only for comparative purposes. The pen holder has been used daily but kept mainly in my handbag and brought out only when I need a pen, unlike the binder which is in use for reference and as a wallet.
To the left, the binder the day I got it. To the right, taken today. As you can see the only dark parts are the ones that have been handled. Any leather covered by paper or credit cards remains as pale as the day I got it. The corners and edges of the credit card slots are darker from handling. It does not lay any flatter but I think this is mainly because I carry it around closed 90% of the time. If I worked with it flat it would probably lie more flat. This is the first time I have removed the contents since I moved into it.
