Okay that headline sounds a bit dodgy but today I documented every step of my day with my Touch Me. The only part I missed was paying for things in the supermarket but I had a long queue behind me so did not want to push my luck by stopping to take a pic!
Woke up 6am so it was still dark outside – my binder and a notebook are always next to my bed so that I can jot down any notes or lists that prevent me from falling asleep. Usually just as I am falling asleep I remember something important. If I don’t write it down I am kept awake worrying I will forget it!My binder is on my desk to check my bookings before I leave home. Had a cancellation this morning which I recorded before I left the house. I need to invoice for each hour I teach. I have two jobs so the blank spaces where I do not have meetings are taken up by translation. I record all the hours I spend translating at the end of a week and make a total number of hours of translation at the top of the week, next to the week number. I like transparent rulers so I can read bookings through them.Waiting for the bus. I very seldom wear colours, so my boots, binders, bags and jackets are usually brown leather. I have very few coloured binders and my choice is usually brown rather than black. So for me, the Touch Me only being available in black is not a problem. On the tram. I was using my brown Filofax Charleston bag today. I keep my binder on my lap to show the conductor – I hold my binder over his card reader which reads my travel card, and in case I have any calls about bookings or cancellations (happens very often when I am on my way to work as my clients often have delays due to traffic or train problems)Arrowed is my travel card. I can just hold these over card readers without taking it out of my binderOn desk during meeting for notes, to dos and booking next meetingsToasted sandwich and coffee lunch with a friendOff to next meetingOn the tram again. I live (arrowed) about 100 metres from Lake Mälaren (1,140 km² in area,64 m at its deepest, 120 kilometers from east to west). I can watch the ice breakers and big boats sailing past as I do my dishes. In the mercifully heated bus terminus on the way home after a stop at the supermarket where I used my binder to look up my shopping list and to pay for my purchases.
Am at present doing my admin in bed with my cats because it is 4°C outside and all my radiators need bleeding before they will work properly.
