This comes from the eBay seller aexarchos who is absolutely lovely. He gave me permission to write an article about his binder while the auction was still going, and told me that it was bought from a gift shop in New York City in the 1980s.
It is used and shows signs of wear but this has been an absolute dream of mine since I bought my first Filofax in the early 1980s. It was way beyond my means and has been immortalised in articles such as this one over the years. The reindeer ones alas, will remain beyond my means.
I will post a reveal of this binder as soon as I get it. I snipe so I don’t become embroiled in bidding wars but this one shot up in price the last few minutes because of manual bidders doubling their bids to try and shake off the competition. I won it but paid more than I thought it would go for. Though I budgeted and decided my maximum six days before the auction ended. It went for just below what my maximum budget was.
