On its way to me from Laurie McFadden is a pocket Mia Cara in Epoca Gold. Laurie loved it but found it too big and heavy for her needs. As this model is sold out on the Gillio website, I was happy to be able to get hold of it. I have ordered gold rings which I shall fit myself when they arrive.

I have an A5 Mia Cara in Epoca Gold but it is a large, weighty binder. I am devoted to it and I could not function without it, but sometimes it is not necessary for me to carry 2kg/4.4lb everywhere. At the same time, my wallet is on its last legs and I need a new one. The Mia Cara will be my satellite binder and wallet in one. The organiser part will probably hold shopping lists and a copy of my schedule. I am not normally a fan of pocket size but the Mia Cara is bigger than the average pocket size so it will do me perfectly. I carry big bags and use big wallets. I have been battling to find a new wallet as I need one with plenty of space for cards.

I love this photo. The Brown Personal Belmont on the left used to be mine and is now Laurie’s. The Gold Pocket Mia Cara on the right was Laurie’s and is now mine. Glad they could share a brief moment together. Photo by Laurie.

My present wallet, a battered Rizzo which I have had for about 7 years.
