During our mini meet’s visit to the Filofax Shop in London’s Conduit Street, I saw a Pocket Deco reduced from £175 to £50. I looked at it and loved it but thought it would be a waste to buy it as I don’t use Pocket size. Luckily, the day after this, I received a call from a friend of mine who told me she wanted a Pocket Filofax for her birthday. So yep – went back and bought it! She doesn’t know she is getting it yet and she doesn’t read my blog so I am betting she will have a big smile come birthday time!
At this shop they do not give you a display Filofax from the shelf but bring out a new boxed one, which they give to you so that you can inspect the rings and the inside inserts and leather. It was so perfect!
Incidentally, both times I was in there, there were many Chinese and Japanese customers buying up to eight Filofaxes at a time. Apparently Filofaxes are very expensive in Asia. These customers hit the motherlode though because there were the most beautiful Maldens on sale – one person bought 5 A5s. I was wondering how they were going to get them all home!

I think it is because I am left handed and was not allowed to use my left hand as a child. I couldn’t do things properly with my right hand either so now I am bad when using only left or right hands but okay when I am using both.
