This photograph was taken in my friend Jack McLeod’s garden, just outside the tiny Eastern Cape town where I was born and lived for most of my life. The area is called Salem and was the setting for part of author J.M. Coetzee’s Novel prizewinning book, Disgrace.
Here are some more of Jack’s beautiful photos. He wonderfully captures the bright clear blue of the high African sky that I miss so desperately.
Jack is a dear friend of both myself and my family. He has showed extreme grace in tough times and is always ready to help a friend.
