It has been very cold in Stockholm the past few days. The coldest I have experienced in my 25 years in Stockholm has been -26°C/-15°F but anything below -5°C feels very cold to me.
It has been so cold that the canal outside has frozen. While lakes usually freeze during winter, our canal is brack water (it is the canal between the freshwater lake Mälaren and the salty Baltic Sea) and is a working shipping route so the water seldom freezes like this.
