Biotherma Baum Corps

Biotherma is a very popular brand in Sweden. I tend to have my favourite ‘big brand’ products, and try new things from cult indie brands only. I am not sure why – maybe it is because I rely more on word of mouth than spendy advertising campaigns.

One thing I have noticed over the years is that people seem to buy loads of their 400ml body lotions. It is often on special, and the shelves empty rapidly. I have my budget favourites and it is still quite pricey even with a discount – about $14 for 400ml.

Recently though, I was running low out on body lotion at the same time my local shop had a special offer, so I bought a bottle. I really like it. The light citrusy smell is nice, and your skin feels moisturised all day.

One thing I hate about many – if not most – body lotions, is that they are more fragrance than anything else. Your skin feels dry immediately after application. I avoid those like the plague and stick to less glamorous but more effective lotions – Nivea Rich Nourishing Milk, Body Shop Body Butters for dry skin, Vaseline Intensive Care, Kiehls, and now Biotherma are on my list for effective products.
