The Body Shop Share the Joy Advent Calendar

Last year I bought the deluxe Body Shop advent calendar and I was really pleased with it. I did not wait to open a different box each day, instead opening all the boxes at once. I put the contents into an acrylic container, and chose something special to use each day during the glum autumn months of October and November, when Sweden is so dark and gloomy. It was great value for money, and I got to try some nice new products. Anything that I would not have used (products for oily skin, liquid eyeliner) I gifted to colleagues and friends.

This year the luxury calendar did not really contain products that appealed to me, so I bought the cheapest version and, once again, decanted the little boxes into a pretty container in the bathroom.  The calendar itself is much more luxe than its counterpart last year – a proper little box for each day  instead of flaps that you tear open. This means that nothing can fall down the back of the calendar.

I was pretty pleased with what was in it. It was mainly small sizes of bath and body products – hand cream, body butter, shower creams and gels, bubble bath. This was great for me because I love my evening bath time. It relaxes me and gets me ready for bed and sleep. There were also sheet face masks, which I often use in the bathtub.

It is not as much of a bargain as the other two, if you like the products they contain. But for me it was perfect because they were just right for pick-me-up treats in autumn and winter. The only things I would not use would be the hair clips and the tea tree oil facial wash, but I can gift those to someone else.

If you are not into the surprise aspect of these calendars, I recommend having a look at the contents beforehand because you can see which one suits you.
