Thought for the day, about well-used things

I love things that are brand spanking new. They are so full of promise, so perfect. Sometimes it is hard to use them and get that first scuff or scratch. And that worry about if you wear it out, will you ever be able to get another one?

But the beauty of a well-used item, uniquely worn over time and used for purpose, is something quite special. It wears marks of passage of time and a sense of usefulness.
