Dresses

This year I told myself that as soon as it was warm enough, I would wear only skirts and dresses unless I was on the bike. And I have stuck to my resolution. I love dresses, and even though my top heavy shape often makes it hard to find ones that flatter my shape, I have managed to keep my promise to myself.

The good thing with dresses is that it is easy to sling them into the machine and they dry quickly. And they are cool and comfortable. Here are some of them.

  1. These are beautiful! Please, please, please tell me who makes the blue shoes you’re wearing in the picture where you’re sitting on the steps!

  2. I love the red dress with the polka dots!… I have the opposite problem to yours: I’m bottom heavy and it’s not easy at all to find the right dress either… Well done to you for sticking to your resolution!

    1. Thank you! Regarding being bigger on one half than the other, I think that is why I like wrap dresses – they expand over your larger parts and you can wrap the excess fabric over the smaller parts without looking weird. I think your shape would look great in fifties dresses as they were made for curvy hips. I am still going strong with my resolution – I must find someone to help me take photographs of my other dresses when I am wearing them.

      1. Dear Janet, thank you so much for your help! I do also like wrap dresses and I used to have a wonderful one that I would wear when I was pregnant and it would wrap my bump so beautifully! And I absolutely adore 50’s dresses! How beautiful and glamorous! Thank you so much! 🙂

  3. Janet, you made some excellent choices but I am especially fond of the one you’re wearing in the dining room with white tablecloths! That is a beautiful picture of you and in my humble opinion I think you look great in light colors!
