Garnier Fructis Hair Food

At the end of a long working day, after using Fructis papaya hair food in the shower this morning. I just finger-comb my hair after showering, and let it air-dry.

I have been using Garnier Fructis Hair Food conditioners for the past couple of weeks and I love them. I use the Macadamia and the Papaya versions. There is also a banana one which I have really wanted to try for ages, but it has been out of stock everywhere I go. The Body Shop used to have a banana hair mask that I used all the time so I am looking forward to trying the Fructis one.

Fructis Hair Food is sold as a 3-in-1 product – hair mask, hair conditioner, and leave-in conditioner. I have lots of dry, curly hair so this product is not thick enough in consistency to work as a hair mask for me, but I have found it great as a regular conditioner and as a leave-in conditioner. My curls really bounce when I use them.

I just comb it through in the shower with a wide-tooth comb, leave it on while I wash myself and then rinse. Once out of the shower I finger comb and allow it to air dry.

One of the nicest things about these products is the way they smell. So many shampoos and conditioners have overpowering, fake perfume which is almost headache-inducing. And fruity ones smell so artificial you want to gag sometimes. These ones genuinely smell like the actual fresh product but are very subtle once they are in your hair.  They are also silicone free and have a vegan formula.

    1. Yes, I did it for about two years, and it worked really well. At the moment I wash with a tiny tiny amount of shampoo once a week, and use conditioner the other days.
